Supporting Homeopathic Care for Albertans

Joining the Alberta Homeopathic Association means becoming part of a professional community dedicated to responsible, ethical, and evidence-informed homeopathic practice. Our members uphold the long-standing traditions and values of classical homeopathy while contributing to the advancement of regulation, education, and public awareness within Alberta.

Membership strengthens the profession by fostering collaboration, elevating standards, and creating a unified voice for homeopathic medicine in our province.

Please ensure you have reviewed all information below before proceeding with your application or renewal.

Professional Membership Renewal requires PCEU Calculation PDF to be filled and uploaded into the Renewal Form.

Membership Levels

We offer two levels of membership:

1. Professional Membership

For Certified or Licensed Homeopaths actively practicing or eligible to practice.

2. Affiliate/Student Membership

For students, retired practitioners, and allied healthcare professionals who support homeopathy.

• Email communication with updates on federal homeopathic matters and media alerts
• Opportunities to contribute to public and professional awareness initiatives

Membership Fees

The AHA membership year runs from February 1 – January 31.
Renewals and fees are due January 31 each year.
New members are welcome to join at any time.

Professional Membership: $125
Affiliate/Student Membership: $35

Membership Requirements

Professional Membership Requirements

Professional Membership is open to:

• Certified or Licensed Homeopaths who have completed a Diploma of Classical Homeopathy, or
• Practitioners holding the CCH (Certified Classical Homeopath) designation

Professional members must uphold the standards of competency, ethics, and conduct established by the Alberta Homeopathic Association. Proof of certification is required.

Professional members must carry active professional liability insurance to ensure client safety and professional accountability. Proof of current coverage is required at the time of application and renewal.

Professional members have full voting privileges.

Continuing Education Requirements

Existing professional members must renew annually and provide proof of 15 Professional Continuing Education Units (PCEUs) earned between January 1 – December 31.

Continuing education supports:

• Clinical skill development
• Competency in safe, ethical practice
• Professional credibility
• Public confidence in homeopathic care

Up to 10 excess PCEUs may be carried forward into the following year.

Qualifying PCEU Activities

Examples include:

  1. Post-graduate studies
  2. Seminars, conferences, and online courses
  3. Public education initiatives (seminars, lectures, community presentations)
  4. Producing homeopathic educational materials
  5. Study groups (attending or leading)
  6. Volunteering with the AHA or serving on committees
  7. Research, publishing, teaching, or mentoring
  8. Participating in or conducting a homeopathic proving
  9. Publishing homeopathic literature

Affiliate/Student Membership Requirements

This category includes:

  • Healthcare professionals registered with another regulatory body (e.g., ND, MD, RN, Chiropractor) who support homeopathy
  • Retired or non-practicing practitioners
  • Students enrolled in an accredited homeopathic program and in good academic standing

Proof of credentials, education, or enrolment is required.

How to Apply or Renew

Step 1: Submit Your Online Form

Select and complete the appropriate form at the top of this page.

Step 2: Receive Your Invoice & Payment Link

Once your full application is reviewed, the registrar will email an invoice with a secure payment link. If you do not receive a payment link, your application was incomplete and additional information is required.

Step 3: Approval

Upon approval and payment, your membership will be activated or renewed for the current membership year. All payments are due January 31.

Step 4: Listing 

Professional Members are added to the public listing on our AHA directory.

Application Review & Approval

All applications and renewals are reviewed by the Registrar Committee.
The Alberta Homeopathic Association reserves the right to refuse any application that does not meet AHA standards or documentation requirements.
